The transformation
A lean-to roof structure was constructed for a small extension in Macclesfield, Cheshire. The team completed the roof timber joinery and framing, measuring and precisely cutting the timber to form the framework.
Two Velux roof window openings were formed, ladder frames were constructed and installed, and the wall plate was securely bolted to the existing house. Soffits were installed and fascias fitted.
The roof joinery was completed in one day on this particular project. This refers only to the timber roof framework, soffits and fascias, not a completed roof covering or the construction of the entire extension. The result was a precisely constructed lean-to framework ready for the next stage of roofing work.
